தேங்காயை இரு பாதியாக உடைத்து அதில் எண்ணெய் ஊற்றி தீபம் ஏற்ற வேண்டும். இப்படி ஏற்றினால் எந்த காரியமும் சித்தியாகும் என்பது நம்பிக்கை.
